COMMUNITY

Much of the warmth and vibrancy of Rowayton is due to the commitment of its volunteers and the organizations they serve. Meg has been an active participant, consistently looking for ways to enhance the community while preserving its historic charm. Since 2012, she has been a dedicated volunteer, beginning with the Rowayton Parents Exchange. Meg became the organization's President for two years, successfully raising over $20,000 for the renovation and improvement of the Bayley Beach Playground. After her time with RPE, she joined the volunteer parent board of The United Church Nursery School, serving as Co-President for two years and actively participating in technological upgrades and fundraising for capital projects.

Currently, Meg serves as the PTA President at Rowayton Elementary School, revitalizing events and school spirit since the pandemic. If you have questions about the schools, she’s the go-to person! The Rowayton Civic Association (RCA) oversees many of the town's cherished annual events and is vital to community building. Meg served four years on the RCA board and the executive committee as the Communications Manager and currently manages the RCA's communications through her own company, House of Swans, Communications, LLC.

BACKGROUND

Meg's journey into real estate began in her childhood, inspired by her mother, a real estate sales agent and owner of a staging business, First Impressions, in New Canaan. Surrounded by house renovations and property flipping, she developed a deep passion for home transformation and the power of design. With a hands-on approach, Meg believes that if her hands aren’t dirty, the job isn’t done—reflecting her dedication to every project. Her background provides her with a unique perspective in the industry, making her an invaluable resource for clients looking to turn their real estate dreams into reality.

PERSONAL

Meg is the mother of an energetic family of six, including her husband, Stephen, their three children, Taylor, JR and Crosby, and their mischievous shepherd mix dogs, Harvey and Tin. Since moving from New York City in 2011, Meg and Stephen have fallen in love with Rowayton for its scenic waterfront and strong sense of community. A former competitive swimmer, Meg currently trains with a masters program at the Darien YMCA and enjoys running, tennis, and sailing to Block Island every summer with her family. She graduated with a BA from Boston College in 2003. Go Eagles!
